How can print compete in a crowded market place?

Will the Kindle be here in 100 years time?
No, but the next generation of Kindle will and and by then it will come free and in virtual 3D colour with 1000 free old computer games, a collection of 1980's videos, and a virtual button to see your family home videos going back to Great Uncle Dave. It came free with your great grand children's one way ticket to Mars. Your wonderful collection of now 200 year old books? Too heavy to take with them apparently.

Text Book v The Kindle EBook
Florida’s Clearwater High’s switch from textbooks to 2000 Kindles last March is still going strong, said Principal Keith Mastorides. We want a “Kindle in every hand”. Comment: It is 2000 text books missing from the printers order and a shorter print run means higher manufacturing costs. The higher the manufacturing price the less competitive the text book is against the eBook. It is going to be a relentless cycle.

Bloomsbury sales growth in 2011?
Bloomsbury have reported sales growth of 10% in eBook sales for 2010 and are predicting even greater growth for the eBook in 2011. Is this growth to the detriment of the printed page? With the rights to these books now held for the world, how will publishers manage the physical book and its distributions or will they just not bother.
Print v eBooks
How can we work with writers and publishers so that books that are only available as downloads to Kindle owners are also available in book form. We need to compete on price and be proactive. I have few ideas I will put forward here in time.
